The INVINCIBLE Live Album Tour hits UPLB!

We are coming! For the folks in U.P. Los Baños and neighboring Laguna towns, the "Shuffle Union-INVICIBLE Live Album Tour" with "Open JAM" hits JAVA Avenue Bar on July 2, a Thursday. Featured on the bill are SHUFFLE UNION, Mighty Contras, and the best UPLB Bands en masse.

Java Avenue Bar is located along Lopez Ave., in the area better known to locals as "Grove", on the way to the UPLB gate. Better come early and treat yourself to a hefty serving of the best of UPLB music. Entrance is FREE! so why not grab yourself a copy of Shuffle Union's INVINCIBLE cd

Saturday night on your boombox...

This June 27, a Saturday night, will see a gathering of friends at Leprechaun Bar (formerly Purple Haze) located at Tomas Morato cor. E. Rodriguez Ave. Might as well troop down to the gig, a gathering like this comes only once in a while.

The line-up, in order of performance, includes:

Tolonguez Death Squad, Nekbu, Pink Cow, Mighty Contras, Bad Omen, Coffee Break Island, Shuffle Union, A.M.P.O.N., The Go Signals, Tsunami Tsunami.

Gig starts at 8PM and 50bucks gets you in.

INVINCIBLE hits Tambayanan

1962 Tambayanan resembled a place reminiscent of old, when the Philippine Ska scene was young and still on training wheels when the Invincible Tour landed on its wooden decks last Saturday night, if only for the healthy mix of scene regulars and fresh faces in attendance. But the performers that night have long been out of weaning. Sharing the evening with the audience were Pink Cow who were working double time from their Fete dela Musique stint the same night. Their great set was joined in by drummers right off the audience! Up next was Steadymovinbeat who has been steadily (non-pun# 1) improving, it seems, every time I see them live. What was that? "1!-2!".

Last to perform was Shuffle Union, featuring some of the tracks from our latest release, Invincible, mixed with our new songs not heard on any record yet. Salamat to the people who were not too shy to show they liked to Dance With Me (non-pun# 2). :))

The INVINCIBLE Tour continues with "Spirit of '62"

This June 20, Piliskapinas brings you "Spirit of '62" with "Shuffle Union - INVINCIBLE Live Album Tour" at the freshest haunt of Timog, 1962 Tambayanan.

Straight from the Batangas nightout, SHUFFLE UNION will be joined by Manila punk-ska outfit PINK COW, 2-tone specialist STEADYMOVINBEAT, and Sta.Mesa boiz TSUNAMI TSUNAMI. As a special treat, the best and the rarest of Philippine SKA will be playing from the booth all night! including tracks from the 2006 PiliSKApinas release, "SKA CITY UNITED". Copies of Shuffle Union's INVINCIBLE cd will be available at the venue. 1962 Tambayanan is located at Sct. Madriñan cor. Sct. Tobias., South Triangle, Quezon City (see map below). See you there!

The Baguio stop has been postponed

The INVINCIBLE's scheduled Baguio stop this weekend has been postponed due to bad weather. The Baguio playdate has been moved to a later date that will be announced at this site. First Stop, Batangas!

Calicanto, Batangas- The North South Nightout held at El Modesto Bar was the first stop in the ongoing promotion for Shuffle Union's Invincible Live! album. The band wishes to thank the organizers, fellow bands SMB, Mighty Contras, Hotshots Experiments, Settled Down and Atatuls & the Kaimans, as well as all those who came to El Modesto that night.
